Morgan Madison Logo Design

Morgan Madison is a Seattle based artist. He incorporates a variety of materials and processes to create thought provoking and unique work. Always starting from sketches, his pieces are brought to life with the inspiration of place - the colors, textures, architecture and landscapes which help define the places we live. Materials that regularly appear in Morgans work are glass, wood and concrete.

The Logo

The idea was to go for texture, clean lines, boldness and tie it in with architecture, not to mimmic any one piece of his, but to represent his creativity.⁠ His final logo package includes a hand lettered word mark and a monogram mark without a texture. ⁠

After landing on the initial shape of the design, we loved the idea of having a duo to interchange as he needed it. The outline logo, giving off strong sketching and structural vibes, along with the texture logo and its architectural and spacial presence work hand in hand. They both describe him as and artist and the amazing work he produces.

This project was an absolute pleasure to work on. The problem was an artist who wanted to have a representation of his technical and artistic abilities without focusing on his artwork specifically. I think we nailed it and have a logo that will be used for years to come!
